Google Ecosystem
Mobile IOS
Through Design Consulting at Cornell, I looked into how to engage college-age users with various Google products. We collected user perceptions through 25 interviews, which informed the idea behind 64+ design interventions.
I designed, refined, and tested conceptual interventions based on findings and stakeholder feedback. The refined design interventions and evaluations were presented to 20+ cross-functional stakeholders at Google.
A Quick Brief
Over the course of 12 weeks, I stepped into the shoes of a user researcher and designer to brainstorm concepts for Google’s ecosystem, including proposed additions to Google Calendar, Google Maps, and Gmail specifically for Gen-Z users across UI/UX, marketing, and college programs.
First Subteam Meeting to Kickoff the Project
What did I do?
During this project, I conducted in-depth user research across short field study interviews on Cornell’s campus and through 30 minute zoom interviews with Cornell students from different majors to learn how students use Google’s versus Apple’s ecosystem.
Those insights eventually led to my final designs and summarized work above after multiple rounds of feedback from our Google stakeholders!
During this design process, I utilized methods like Thematic Coding, Concept Testing, and Rapid Prototyping through tools like Figma, Figjam, and Google Sheets.
Closing wrap up!
Due to NDA, I am unable to share more details about my project. Please reach out if you would like to hear more about my experiences!
