I created a family-centered financial product from concept to delivery, with the potential to engage over 6.9 million households and deepen customer’s relationship with Chase.

I pitched the product to the Head of Design Strategy, the Product Research Team, and Firmwide Associates at JPMorganChase for further implementation.

OVERVIEW

My Chase Journey

During my time at Chase, I was a Product Design Intern on the Design & Strategy team for JPMorganChase’s Design Development Program. My project was focused on the youth & family segment, creating an entirely new product by combining previous experiences into one with new concepts. It was a very valuable experience being able to collaborate with two other design interns, Airla and Noelle, as well as receiving constant guidance from my core team leaders.

What did I do?

Although specific details are protected under NDA, I am excited to share some outcomes from my 10-week project! I was able to observe Chase parents, interact with bank employees at a Chase branch, and communicate with product stakeholders.

Adapting by Day, Growing by Night

Placed in a new environment, I was constantly adapting to the fast-paced work culture at Chase and came to a deeper understanding of how I can design specifically from a business perspective.

Embrace Sudden Changes

There were many moments where I needed to make fast decisions, such as cutting down on secondary screens for user testing and creating a pitch deck for product team alongside our original presentation deck.

Think “Blue Sky”

As one of my first projects without technical limitations and constraints, it gave me the freedom to think beyond Chase boundaries and inspired my design team to develop brand new concepts that were friendly towards younger audiences.

Adapt to Rules & Regulations

Although compliance laws prevented me from conducting user interviews and testing directly, my design team adapted by sitting in and observing user behaviors instead to gain the insights we needed to move forward.
